Driver Killed, Five Passengers Critically Injured in Oklahoma Auto Accident

A 30-year-old Oklahoma woman was killed and five passengers in her 1995 Chevrolet were injured when she inexplicably veered to the right while traveling in a northbound lane of the Muskogee Turnpike on December 5. According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the vehicle flipped six times before coming to a rest on its wheels, resulting in the death of the driver and serious injuries to the other vehicle occupants, some of whom were ejected from the vehicle during the wreck. ACCIDENT VICTIMS IN CRITICAL CONDITION

A 42-year-old passenger riding in the Chevrolet was transported to St. John Medical Center with head, leg and arm injuries, along with a 23-year-old passenger, who was listed in critical condition after being ejected from the vehicle and suffering head, arm and internal injuries. In addition, 7-year-old, 9-year-old and 13-year-old passengers in the same vehicle were admitted to St. Francis Medical Center, where they were also listed in critical condition with major injuries caused by the devastating wreck. The youngest passenger was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the car accident, and was ejected from the vehicle as it flipped numerous times. The cause of the deadly one-car crash is still under investigation, Oklahoma troopers reported.
